SICAM EGS – the all-in-one-solution for transparency in the distribution grid

The SICAM EGS serves multiple key applications in power distribution networks. It’s used for distribution network automation in LV/MV switchgears, asset monitoring of transformers and switchgears, and grid connection monitoring for solar parks, wind parks, and EV charging stations. As a communication gateway, it handles different networks and protocols for easy SCADA integration. The device also functions as an IoT gateway, connecting various measurement, sensor, protection, and automation technologies to cloud-based platforms. SICAM WEB enables users to view errors in real-time and access archived error logs. SICAM EGS uses SICAM HMI to visualize processes.
The SICAM Enhanced Grid Sensor (EGS) is a compact all-in-one device that integrates measurement capabilities with a secure RTU gateway. Designed for local substations, low-voltage cabinets, and junction boxes, it offers power distribution monitoring, asset monitoring, and IoT connectivity. The device supports various communication protocols, features integrated 3-phase measurement functionality, and includes cybersecurity measures. With dimensions of 200x100x60mm and IP54 protection, it’s built for harsh conditions and requires minimal maintenance. As part of the SICAM 8 platform, it enables efficient grid monitoring and control while supporting future power distribution needs.
